Global teaching competencies in primary education

Calls for global citizenship education (GCE) in primary have been making themselves heard recent literature different national and international contexts. Primary school teachers must be equipped with the necessary competencies required to carry out this broader task appropriately. This article seeks understand how experienced teacher educators look at GCE related teaching competencies. A typology provides article’s theoretical frame investigation. study used Delphi method reach consensus on a definition of what globally competent should do support learning diverse learners engage them GCE. The results show an extensive profile foundational, facilitation, curriculum design which corresponds most moral cultural description.
